Kansas City, MO--May 29, 2014--Dreamin' Out Loud Entertainment readies to release award-winning Christian pop singer/songwriter Katelyn McCarter's "Rough Day" Tuesday, June 3, 2014, the lead single from the upcoming studio effort Beyond Skin Deep.
Rough Day is a lyrically relatable upbeat song where McCarter explains, "as we go through rough days in life we must seek God and come to him for support and guidance," and with simple everyday life issues the lyrics simply say: "My Clock Is Running Slow/ The Coffee Pot Is Broke/Can't Find My Keys, And Now My Head Is Achin'/My Rent Is Overdue/ My Boyfriend Said We're Through...Rough Day."
McCarter, hailing from Petersburg, Virginia, is a prolific writer who uses life experiences to disseminate messages of hope and encouragement and is compelled to create music by the invigorating strength and inspiration she receives from God.
"I believe her fans will be pleasantly surprised with Rough Day," states Dreamin' Out Loud Entertainment CEO, Arthur Payne. "It's a great debut single that displays the soulfulness of Katelyn and is the perfect choice after her Free From Me ballad previously released."
Only in her early twenties, McCarter has accomplished a considerable amount and continues to be a standout talent. She is a two-time International Music and Entertainment Association Christian Female Vocalist, Christian Entertainer of the Year award-winner and Rebirth Radio's 2013 Song of the Year and Rising Artist of the Year award winner.
In addition, she is a spokesperson for Angels and Doves, an anti-bullying organization where she finds it really important to be inspiring to teens considering how much pressure they receive from social media. "I always wanted someone to look up to when I was in my teens so I want to be that image for them through this organization," she says-An exemplification of her selfless efforts and desires to serve God every day through her music and in her daily life activities.
